The island of Itsukushima in Hiroshima Prefecture is home to three goddesses from Japanese mythology: Ukemochi no Kami (Tide-Ebbing Princess), who represents the source of life; Amaterasu Omi Kami (The Great Divinity Illuminating Heaven), who represents light, the sun, and the universe; and Tsukuyomi no Mikoto (Moon-Reading Lord), who represents wisdom and the moon. These three goddesses hold significant positions in Shintoism, the indigenous religion of Japan. Itsukushima Island is considered a sacred place and is designated as a National Treasure of Japan and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Itsukushima Shrine is one of the famous shrines in Japan and is one of the main places of worship for the three goddesses. We have recreated the pure and fresh aroma of Itsukushima Island, a sacred site, and developed a fragrance that captures the essence of the three goddesses’ solemn and clean aroma. This fragrance will allow you to experience the unique scent of Itsukushima and the three goddesses.
